Chop Wood, Carry PA 10/20
Hey, Team PA!
Just a little over two weeks until Election Day (15 days and 8 hours, to be precise)... Here are a couple of ways to stay busy and keep the pre-election anxiety at bay:
The PA Dems Voter Protection and Organizing teams need help making sure that all PA voters are heard, and their ballots are counted. Sign up here to phonebank with them and call voters who need help “curing” their ballots. Training will be provided.
Here’s a canvassing opportunity (clipped from my main newsletter):
Team Harris-Walz urgently needs volunteers to knock on doors to ensure voters show up on Election Day! They need at least 10 more volunteers to join them in Pennsylvania every weekend this month.
WHEN: Every Saturday & Sunday this month, 9AM-9PM (3 hour shifts)
WHERE: Three critical counties in Pennsylvania.
CHESTER COUNTY/DOWNINGTOWN [Southeast PA, close to: New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland]
ALLEGHENY COUNTY/MONROEVILLE [Western PA, close to: Ohio, West Virginia]
LEHIGH COUNTY/ALLENTOWN [Eastern PA, close to New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland]
You can also check out the PA Dems’ Mobilize page to find the best opportunity for you. They have plenty of canvassing, phonebanking, Halloween parades, etc. Anything you’re able to do is extremely helpful and has the potential to impact people around the country (and around the world)!! But no pressure.
If you’re looking for a high impact last-minute donation, you can consider giving money to the Susquehanna Democratic Party. They’re working on a low budget to advocate for Dems in rural Pennsylvania, and any small donations would help them continue to do so. Send to checks payable to "Susquehanna County Democratic Party" to Rick Ainey, Treasurer. P.O. Box 471, New Milford, PA 18834.
Lastly, the Vote Forward PA voter turnout campaign has been completed!! To those of you who pitched in, thanks so, so much!! As a reward, I will no longer be bothering you about that.
OK, that’s it for now! Keep up the good work.
Jess
