Hey, Team PA!
I have a quick ask. As you may remember, I have a States Project Giving Circle called Chop Wood, Carry Statehouses, which is raising money for Pennsylvania and Arizona. My goal for the year is 100K; about a week ago we were at 41K or so, so I was about half way there.
Then this week one of my subscribers offered a 10K match for this effort—WOW! I’m trying to raise that money as quickly as possible, because the important electoral work is happening NOW. We’ve raised $7,186 of it so far; that means I’ve got just $2814 to go! If anyone can help, the money you donate will be doubled, and it’ll all go to the smartest, most effective organization I know of working on statehouse races.
Remember, with enthusiasm for the top of the ticket low across parties the need for excitement and engagement downballot has never been greater. This election is going to be all about reverse coattails. If you want to help us win the presidency, hold the Senate, and flip the House, then, money given towards also flipping seats in the Pennsylvania state legislature may ironically be the most strategic.
So please help if you can by donating here. And if you want to read the latest gangbusters piece about the incredible work the States Project is doing, from this week’s New York Times, the gift link is here. (Read it! Really!)
Thanks, all!
Jess
