Chop Wood, Carry Pennsylvania 10/9
Hey, Team Pennsylvania!
You will not be surprised to hear that there’s a lot going on in PA this week! Here are a few things to get you started:
Take advantage of the holiday weekend and canvass for the Harris/Walz campaign, as well as local Harrisburg candidates, with NOPE. Sign up here to knock doors on Sunday the 13th, Monday the 14th, or both. NOPE will be arranging carpools to the Harrisburg area- you can reach out to this email for more on that: nope.canvassing@gmail.com.
If you don’t have previous canvassing experience, that is totally fine- there will never be a better time to rip off the bandaid. This training video from TurnPA Blue and Swing Left 31st Street is a great starting point.
Also, Women for Kamala Harris will be canvassing Allegheny County and Lackawanna County this Saturday! Once you sign up, you’ll be invited to take a Carpool for Kamala training session which will cover all the basics. You’ll be sent more info and exact addresses in the most critical areas of the county a few days before the canvass.
Next up, you can join Red2Blue in their many phonebanking sessions leading up to the election. They’re particularly focused on turning out young, first-time voters, and encouraging them to verify their registrations and vote early. Their phonebanks will include training up until October 20- fill out this form to get started!
And, as always, you can write letters to PA voters with Vote Forward! Write them now and send by Oct. 29. We’re in the final stretch for letter writing and postcarding before the election, so do what you can! Click here to register.
Lastly (and very much not least), rumor has it VP Harris will be campaigning in Erie County this Monday… No details announced yet, but stay tuned for her campaign to release more on that!
OK, that’s it for now. Keep doing what you’re doing! More soon.
