Hey Team Pennsylvania!

I have some options for you this week… 

Since Pennsylvania’s Department of Environmental Protection quietly rolled back legislation restricting gas production and fracking in Dimock, water quality in the community has tanked. Get involved by writing a letter to Gov. Shapiro, asking him to reinstate the fracking moratorium, clean the water supply, and get residents the fresh water they need. Sign up here.

NOPE has a whole slew of great upcoming events and opportunities. Check out their calendar for speaking events (Sen. Bob Casey, Janelle Stelson, and Rep. Jordan Harris on Sept. 18th!), phonebanking, etc. They also have an in person letter writing session in Bethesda at 10AM on Monday, September 2nd, or you can write letters on your own. All sorts of ways to get involved!!

Lastly, shifting politics in PA means we might have the chance to do something absolutely beautiful… GET REP. SCOTT PERRY OUT OF OFFICE (as I’m sure many of you are aware, Rep. Perry is a far-right election denier and member of the House Freedom Caucus). PA-10 is looking increasingly competitive, and Janelle Stelson is doing an amazing job gaining momentum- you all can help her keep this up by phone banking or donating.
